Summary

A series of amorphous spheres with nominal compositions of (1-x) LaGaO3-xTiO(2) (x = 0, 0.625, 0.650, 0.675, 0.700, 0.725, 0.740) have been successfully prepared by containerless solidification. It is found that the LaGaO3-TiO2 system has an extremely wide glass-forming region of 0.625
