Zhi-Ping Liu is a Professor of Biomedical Informatics at Shandong University. He obtained his B.S. and M.S. degrees in Mathematics from Shandong University, and a Ph.D. from Academy of Mathematics & Systems Science, Chinese Academy of Sciences. After a postdoctoral training in Japan, he joined the Key Laboratory of Systems Biology, Shanghai Institutes for Biological Sciences, Chinese Academy of Sciences as an Assistant Professor, and then be promoted as an Associate Professor in December 2010. After his second-round postdoctoral training in USA, he joined in the Department of Biomedical Engineering, School of Control Science and Engineering at Shandong University in September 2013. Currently, he is a Professor of Biomedical Informatics. His research interests are Bioinformatics, Machine Learning, Data Science, Operations Research and Biomedical Engineering.
