I am mainly interested in mechanisms underlying fruit morphological variations. Current research projects in the laboratory include roles of several SUN homologues encoding plant specific calmodulin binding proteins in tomato fruit development; functional analysis of genes preferentially expressed during early fruit development; identification of new genetic loci controlling tomato fruit development; and comparative study of Solanaceous fruit development.
