He received the B.E. and M.E. degrees from the School of Automation, Beijing Institute of Technology, Beijing, China, in 1993 and 1998 respectively, and received the Dr. Eng. from the Division of Materials Science and Production Engineering, Oita University, Japan, in 2004. His major field of study is pattern recognition, intelligent control and robotics. He has published more than 50 scientific articles.<br>From 2003 to 2009, he worked at Matsue College of Technology, Japan. From November 2009, he has been a member of the faculty in Tianjin University of Science and Technology, Tianjin, China, where he is currently an associate professor at the College of Electronic Information and Automation.
