Professor Lu Jun was awarded the degrees of BSc (1998) and PhD (2004) by the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC). He worked as a postdoctoral fellow in at the Department of Chemistry in Hong Kong University (2005-2007). In 2007, he joined the State Key Laboratory of Chemical Resource Engineering, Beijng University of Chemical Technology and was promoted to full Professor in 2011, and Tutor for Doctor in 2012. His research is focused on the optical, electrical and magnetic functional properties of supramolecular intercalation and assembly based on inorganic layered materials, the structure design and theoretical calculation of novel inorganic functional materials, and the defect chemistry and catalytic chemistry of transition metal oxides and noble metal nanocrystals. Over 80 publications, in journals such as Angew, Chem. Int. Ed. Adv. Mater., Adv. Funct. Mater., Chem. Mater., Chem. Commun., and AIChE J., as well as 10 authorized patents have resulted from his work. Up to now, he has co-compiled 4 academic monographs. In 1998, he was awarded the ‘Guo Moruo’ scholarship by USTC.
