Balvinder Khambay qualified from the School of Dentistry, University of Birmingham with a B.D.S. (Distinction in Clinical Dentistry), in December 1993.  After this he completed his Vocational Training in North Wales in General Practice.  Balvinder then returned to The University of Birmingham in 1995 to start his PhD, which he was awarded in December 1999. <br>During this time he obtained his Fellowship in Dental Surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 1998.  After this he relocated to Glasgow and was appointed as a Clinical Lecturer/Honorary Specialist Registrar in Orthodontics. <br>In June 2002 he was awarded his Membership in Orthodontics from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and in 2004 he became an accredited NHS Orthodontic Consultant.  He is at present employed as a Senior Clinical University Teacher / Consultant in Orthodontics and is Academic Head of the Orthodontic Department.
