Dr. Weijia Wang is currently an Associated Professor of Biomedical Engineering in the Institute of Clinical Medicine at the Second Affiliated Hospital of Hainan Medical University. Dr. Weijia Wang received a B.S. degree in material chemistry from Shenyang Jianzhu University in 2009. In 2012, he received an M.E. degree in metallurgy engineering from Central South University. And in 2018, he received a Ph.D. in materialized metallurgy from Central South University under the direction of Professor Xueyi Guo, where he demonstrated the concept of blood purification therapy for heavy metal intoxication using engineered magnetic nanocrystals. From 2019 to 2021, he was a postdoctoral research associate with Professor Yong Liu at the State Key Laboratory for Powder Metallurgy of Central South University, where he began to develop high-order single-particulate nanoheterostructures for biomedical applications and energy conversion. In July 2021, he began his independent career as an Associated Professor in the Institute of Clinical Medicine at the Second Affiliated Hospital of Hainan Medical University. His research group focuses on developing novel nanoscale solid-state nanomaterials and applying these materials to issues at the forefront of metastatic tumor therapy and sepsis supporting treatment.
