摘要

Chemometrics is a new discipline of chemistry rapidly evolving during the past decades. Second-order calibration coupled with high-order analytical instrumentation is a powerful technique for direct analysis of complex chemical systems, e.g. simultaneous determination of the analyst of interest even in the presence of unknown interferences. Three-way data analysis especially second-order calibration has formed a hot spot in quantitative analysis of complex multi-component systems. In this report, some aspects of the theoretical fundamentals and the developments of second-order calibration and its applications to life, environmental, food sciences etc. will be introduced
