摘要
The development of industry influences the urban morphology.This paper focuses on the development of the industry in Guangzhou and its influence on the urban morphology since 1840, and divides the developing process into 5 phases, including the late Qing Dynasty (1840 1912), the Republic of China(1912 1949).the preliminary stage of the People's Republic of China (1949-1978), 20 years after China' economic reform(1978 2000)and 21st century(after 2000).Industrial development and location of industry in every phase are studied, for discussing the interaction between the industrial development and the urban morphology.
