Intent on creating an "America First" international trading system, the US is conducting an unparalleled and subversive reform of the WTO, which is bound to erode the multilateral free trade system and deal an unprecedented blow to the WTO. Rather than abandoning the accomplishments and making a fresh start, the WTO’s main objectives and principles should be upheld in the course of reform.
