摘要
In the process of structural damage identification of a dam based on vibration response induced by the water flow, the vibration signal not only contains the structural damage information, but a large amount of low and high frequency noise.The traditional de-noising method cannot extract the weak vibration signal of a dam completely.The variational modal decomposition(VMD) algorithm was improved and used to de-noise due to the advantages of high computing efficiency, strong noise resistance, and anti-aliasing.However, the improved VMD algorithm can only filtered the high frequency noise and the principal component of the dam vibration signal was still coupled in low and dense frequency noise.Therefore, the singular spectrum analysis(SSA) algorithm, which has the advantage in extracting the principal component, was applied to filter the low frequency noise from the signal denoised by the improved VMD algorithm.Experimental data show that this joint algorithm can provide a prerequisite for structural damage identification and localization based on vibration response.
