O objetivo deste experimento foi estimar o desenvolvimento das col nias de Apis mellifera africanizadas no per赤odo de julho de 1999 a junho de 2000, na Fazenda Experimental, quanto 角s porcentagens de ocupa es por cria, alimento e total dos favos, correlacion芍-las com vari芍veis ambientais e determinar o teor de prote赤na bruta no p車lenestocado pelas abelhas. Foram utilizadas cinco col nias de abelhas A. mellifera africanizadas, realizando-se mapeamentos e coletas de p車len mensalmente. Foram obtidos dados clim芍ticos de temperatura m芍xima e m赤nima, umidade relativa m芍xima e m赤nima do ar e precipita o pluviom谷trica de cada m那s, coletados na pr車pria Fazenda Experimental. As porcentagens m谷dias de ocupa o com cria (ovo-larva + pupa de oper芍rias e zang es), com alimento (mel e p車len) e da 芍rea total n o foram diferentes entre as col nias (p%26gt;0,05). As abelhas africanizadas diminu赤ram sua popula o com temperaturas externas baixas (inverno)e tamb谷m com excesso de umidade relativa do ar (ver o). O teor m谷dio de prote赤na bruta presente no p車len durante o ano foi de 24,51%, sendo este valor aceit芍vel para um bom desenvolvimento das col nias. This research was carried out to evaluate the growing of Africanized honeybee colonies from July 1999 to June 2000, as for the percentages of occupation area with brood, food, occupied total area, to correlate them with environmental variables and to determine the tenor of crude protein in the pollen stocked in the combs by workers. Five colonies were mapped monthly, which were made the counting of the occupied area with brood, food, occupied total area and also the pollen was collected and submitted to the bromatological analysis to determine the tenor of crude protein. The medium percentages of occupation with brood (egg-larvae plus workers pupa and drones), with food (honey and pollen) and of the occupied total area they were not also different among the treatments (p%26gt;0.05). The Africanized honeybee colonies reduced their population with low externaltemperatures (winter) and also with excess of relative humidity of the air (summer). The medium tenor of crude protein in the pollen during the year was 24.51%, and this value is acceptable for a good development of the colonies.
