摘要

With the continuous improvement of the living standard, high-fat and high-protein diet leading to cancer, cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, and allergic diseases have become the main causes of threats to human health, of which antioxidant and free radical scavenging is one of the important prevention and treatment methods. Dicaffeoylquinic acids are widely distributed in nature, with polyphenol structure and various physiological functions including antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, hypoglycemic, lipid-lowering, platelet inhibitory, antimicrobial and anti-tumor, etc., which have attracted extensive attention from many scholars at home and abroad. Due to the influence of physicochemical properties and pharmacokinetics, its drug development is not perfect. In this paper, the plant origins, pharmacokinetics, and biological activities of natural dicaffeoylquinic acids were reviewed to provide basis for their development and utilization. ? 2023 Editorial Office of Chinese Traditional and Herbal Drugs.
