La obra de Ciro Alegr赤a exhibe, tal vez m芍s acusadamente que la de otros escritores del indigenismo, la pugna del escritor con el lenguaje en la tentativa de mostrar el mundo ind赤gena &desde dentro*. Curiosamente, la cr赤tica elogiosa de El mundo es ancho y ajeno (1941) y la cuestionadora apuntan a un mismo aspecto: el mostrar o no el mundo ind赤gena desde dentro. M芍s que abogar por una u otra cr赤tica, me interesa sugerir a partir de la propia novela el porqu谷 de tan contrapuestas percepciones.
