the content of the small collection of la emulacion medica magazine, perpetuator of el eco de paris is examined as a publication conceived at the beginning of the second half of the 19 th century to satisfy the information needs of the medical students. to this end, an analytic index with the references of the 71 works divulged in this second cuban student magazine is presented, arranged in the same order in which each one of its scarce nine issues was published. the auxiliary author and subject indexes are also registered as part of this bibliographical inventory to facilitate the search.
