摘要
Ultrasound partial discharge detection is an important method for diagnosing the insulation condition of GIL on site. In this paper, the partial discharge test for GIL in PE converter station was carried out by using ultrasonic detection method. Eleven abnormal signals were found in the test. In order to find out the causes of abnormal partial discharge signal, some researches have been done, such as check mechanical vibration signals and external corona, analyze the signal characteristics on site, carry out the test verification, locate the air gap, and simulate the defects. The results show that as the interface air gap exists in GIL, the characteristics of ultrasonic partial discharge signal are: the correlation signals of 50 Hz and 100 Hz. The correlation signals at 50 Hz are weak while the correlation signals at 100 Hz are strong. Besides, the sinusoidal correlation waveform appears in phase mode and there are two clusters of concentrated signal points within one period. According to the result of the field tests and the return-to-factory tests, the diagnostic method of partial discharge test for the GIL on site and the technical measures of routine test for eliminating defects were put forward in this paper as well.
