摘要
objective: to describe the perceptions of nursing professionals about humanization of their work process. methods: a qualitative research approach was used to conduct the study. data were collected from seven nursing professionals of a critical care unit of the santa casa de miseric車rdia de pelotas-rs, through semi-structured interviews. the data were analyzed, through successive readings and content analysis. two themes have emerged: humanization of the work process and gaps of the humanization of the work process. results: in the hospital, the humanization of the work process continues to place emphasis in the person-customer, yet little attention to the care and humanization of the person-worker. conclusion: humanization of the work process is widely discussed in literature; however, in practice, it depends on behavioral change and internalization of the need of humanization by the person-worker of health institutions.
