In the interview, Shu Zhan, China’s former ambassador to Rwanda and Eritrea, give us a vivid description on what home-grown solutions in Rwanda look like. In his opinion, based on self-reliance, Imihigo, Umuganda, and other home-grown solutions, in fact, are innovation by combining R wandan national values with international values to meet the challenges of reconstructing a new nation.
