摘要
The investigation of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon(PAH)pollution in environmental media has been a hot spot in the industry. While there are many studies on PAHs in atmosphere and soil, the corresponding research on their existence in water is scarce for the complexity of aqueous environments. Lake Chaohu,as one of the five largest freshwater lakes in China, has been widely concerned about its water pollution. Most of the studies focused on the eutrophication of Lake Chaohu, with less investigation and analysis on the PAH pollution. However,PAHs might pose a potential threat to human health due to their persistence, carcinogenicity, teratogenicity, and mutagenicity. So a thorough study on PAH pollution in Lake Chaohu is of great significance. Dissolved and suspended particulate samples were collected from 35 sampling sites in Lake Chaohu. The concentrations of 16 PAHs in the samples were measured by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry(GC-MS). The concentration distribution and composition characteristics of PAHs in Lake Chaohu were analyzed, and the ecological risk assessment was carried out by using the ecological risk moisture value method. Besides, the source of PAHs in samples was analyzed by the positive definite matrix factor decomposition method(PMF5.0). The results shows that the concentrations of ∑16PAHs ranged from 83.8 to 174.2 ng?L-1 in dissolved samples and from 557.7 to 4543.9 ng?g-1 in suspended particulate samples. The average concentrations of ∑16PAHs were 115.2 ng?L-1 and 2048.7 ng?g-1. The proportion of 3-ring and 4-ring PAHs in the dissolved phase and suspended particulate phase is relatively large, but the proportion of 3-ring and 4-ring PAHs in the suspended particulate phase is lower than that in the dissolved phase. In addition, the proportion of 5-ring PAHs in the particulate phase was also large. The PMF5.0 model shows that PAHs in dissolved phase mainly came from biomass/coal combustion and gasoline combustion, which were 31.07% and 30.69% respectively. On the other hand,PAHs in particulate phase mainly came from diesel combustion sources and biomass/coal combustion sources, which were 30.75% and 29.23% respectively. The contribution of oil sources to PAHs pollution in both phases was low. The results of the ecological entropy method shows that PAHs pollution in the water body in Lake Chaohu is at a moderate risk level. Through the above research methods, the PAH pollution in Lake Chaohu is elucidated, and a scientific basis for the treatment of PAH contamination of the water body is provided. ? 2023 Science Press.
