摘要

In this paper, a pair of high-frequency multilevel inverters based on switched-capacitor technique is presented (structure 1 and 2), which have similar principles and complementary functions. The structure 1 is used for the parallel-connected input occasions of low-voltage sources. It will reduce the number of power devices in both charging and discharging loops compared with the existing topologies. Thus, the conducting loss can decrease when ignoring the difference in parasitic parameters of each component. Meanwhile, the structure 2 is suitable for the series-connected input occasions. It will make up for the insufficiency that the existing switched-capacitor multilevel inverters can only be used for parallel input occasions. Accordingly, the application scope can be broadened. The two structures and their operational principles are illustrated, as well as the analysis of relevant parameters. The experimental results confirm the feasibility of the two proposed structures.
