摘要

The China-US strategic competition has triggered a sense of crisis and heated debate in the ROK. Although the Moon Jae-in government tried to maintain strategic ambiguity and a balance between China and the US, the ROK is still under great pressure to pick sides. During the presidency of Yoon Suk-yeol, ChinaROK relations may go through “adjustment” and even witness a “restart” in the future, but the significance of the bilateral ties should not be underestimated and a tough China policy is not in the ROK’s interests.
