摘要
English in China has experienced a real long history. Nowadays English is essential for modernization and internationalization in China. The attitude for English is a hot issue currently. Monolingualism is preferred in Chinese education, while bilingual model has its own strengths. According to previous researches, China English is possible to become a member of World Englishes. The essay aims to analyze the Chinese context at present and the attitudes for China English.
