摘要
To investigate the seismic behavior of fiber reinforced plastic(FRP) confined circular reinforced concrete columns with high axial compression ratio and low-strength concrete, six confined columns and three control columns were tested under low cyclic lateral load. The results show that after confinement, the failure modes of columns change into flexural failure. The strength, ductility and energy dissipation capacity of columns are improved significantly, and the FRP can provide good confinement especially for columns with high axial compression ratio and low-strength concrete. With the same lateral confining stress, the peak load of basalt FRP(BFRP) and carbon FRP(CFRP) confined columns are similar, but the former has better ductility and energy dissipation capacity. Based on the test results, modified equations of peak load and displacement ductility factor are proposed. ? 2020, Editorial Department of Journal of Building Materials. All right reserved.
