A new Chinese kale cultivar 'zitai jielan' [芥蓝新品种‘紫薹芥蓝’]

'Zitai Jielan' Chinese kale is an medium-late maturing cultivar which crossed by self-incompatibility lines. It has good quality. The leaves are round, 21.0 cm in length and 19.6 cm in width. Main sprouts are light purple, 20.0 cm long, 1.9 cm thick. The single sprout weight is 143 g. 'Zitai Jielan'showed resistance to downy mildew and soft rot. It is suitable for producing in Guangzhou area in October to November.
