摘要

The reshaping of transatlantic relations brings new variables into play for Russia and its relations with Europe. Under the changing circumstances, Russia positions itself as neither friend nor foe to adapt to the twofold dimension of Europe’s strategic autonomy. The interactions between Russia, Europe and the US also determine the trajectory of Russia’s own policy adjustments, which are aimed at alleviating political anxiety and security concerns in the post-Soviet space and at extending Russia’s energy leverage over Europe.
