OBJETIVO: Realizar un an芍lisis m谷trico de la producci車n cient赤fica de los institutos del Sistema Nacional de Salud de la Rep迆blica de Cuba durante el per赤odo 2000-2004 en las revistas de la corriente principal. M谷TODOS: Se realiz車 una b迆squeda en el Web of Science. La estrategia de b迆squeda se bas車 en el empleo de la palabra Cuba en el campo Author Address. Se analizaron los indicadores de producci車n, impacto y colaboraci車n internacional. La colaboraci車n y las tem芍ticas de investigaci車n se presentaron mediante grafos basados en el an芍lisis de redes sociales. RESULTADOS: Los institutos de salud totalizaron 295 trabajos, que representaron el 33,20 % de la producci車n del sector sanitario y el 8,90% de todos los documentos nacionales registrados en la base de datos estudiada, con una tendencia al aumento. El Instituto de Medicina Tropical ※Pedro Kour赤§ y el Instituto de Neurolog赤a y Neurocirug赤a participaron en el 38,0 % y 24,1 % del total art赤culos. Se observ車 una correspondencia entre el porcentaje de colaboraciones internacionales y los niveles de citaci車n de los art赤culos. La colaboraci車n internacional se manifest車 en el 43,4 % de los art赤culos vinculados con un total de 61 pa赤ses de los 5 continentes. Los 赤ndices de citaci車n de las colaboraciones internacionales tuvieron generalmente valores superiores. CONCLUSIONES: Los institutos nacionales de salud poseen un gran peso en la investigaci車n y la producci車n cient赤fica del sector sanitario cubano. Las l赤neas de investigaci車n predominantes se relacionan con los problemas prioritarios de salud del pa赤s. OBJECTIVE: To make a metric analysis of the scientific production of the institutes of the National System of Health of the Republic of Cuba during the period 2000-2004 in the main current magazines. METHODS: A search in the Web of Science was carried out. The search strategy was based on the use of the word Cuba in the Author Address field. An analysis of the production, impact and international collaboration indicators was made. The collaboration and the research topics were presented by means of graphs based on the analysis of social networks.
