摘要

A novel folded gap unit cell was proposed in this paper. Compared with the planar tra-ditional one, the lower and upper cut off frequencies move towards lower and higher frequencies, re-spectively, obtaining a wider stopband bandwidth. Then, a ridge gap waveguide transmission struc-ture is constructed based on the proposed folded gap periodic unit cell, and a Ka-band Gysel power di-vider is proposed using the ridge gap waveguide. Moreover, a transition from the microstrip to such a ridge gap waveguide is also proposed in this paper for the integration and measurement with other chips. Finally, the proposed Gysel power divider is fabricated, assembled, and measured. The mea-sured results show a good agreement with the simulated ones. It shows that the Gysel power divider achieves an equal power division ratio in Ka-band(30~42 GHz), and the isolation between the two output terminals is about 15 dB.
