摘要
Flutter analysis is an important part of the design process of modern steam turbines. The fidelity of flutter analysis for steam turbines has increased rapidly over the last 15 years, mainly due to the increasing capacity in computing power. In this paper, recent developments in steam turbine flutter analysis are presented. These developments include numerical approaches, wet steam fluid models, far-field boundary conditions, tip leakage flow effects and multi-row effects. Although some of these developments are not time-affordable for industry today, research in these areas can help researchers understand the quantitative error estimate of the current flutter prediction methods.
