摘要
This study was conducted to investigate the effects of dietary condensed tannins on growth performance, body composition, serum biochemical and antioxidant indexes of Litopenaeus vannamei. A total of 600 Litopenaeus vannamei with an initial body weight of approximately 1. 38 g were randomly divided into 5 groups with 3 replicates per group and 40 shrimps per replicate. Shrimps in the 5 groups were fed 5 isonitrogenous and isolipidic experimental diets, which supplemented with 0 (CT0 group, as control group), 0. 5 (CT0. 5 group), 1. 0 (CT1 group), 2. 0 (CT2 group) and 4. 0 g/kg DM (CT4 group) of condensed tannins based on a basal diet, respectively. The feeding trial lasted for 65 days. The results showed that with the increase of dietary condensed tannins supplemental level, the final body weight, weight gain rate and specific growth rate of shrimps increased with a linear effect (0. 050. 05). Dietary condensed tannins did not affect the body composition, amino acid contents in muscle and serum biochemical indexes (P>0. 05). Compared with CT0 group, diet supplemented with 1. 0 to 2. 0 g/kg DM condensed tannins significantly increased the serum catalase and superoxide dismutase activities (P < 0. 05), and significantly decreased serum malondialdehyde content (P < 0. 05). The serum catalase and superoxide dismutase activities in the CT4 group were significantly lower than those in the CT0 group (P<0. 05). In conclusion, dietary appropriate amount of condensed tannins can improve the growth performance and antioxidant capacity of Litopenaeus vannamei, but do not affect body composition, muscle amino acid contents and serum biochemical indexes. Using serum superoxide dismutase activity as evaluation index, the optimal supplemental level of dietary condensed tannins is 1. 94 g/kg DM.
