摘要
This article studies the period of construction of the Catholic Church at Argentina, in the second half of the nineteenth century. Specially it focuses on the role played by several associations related to parishes, that worked intensely on the benefit of the Church. Also the catholic press played a significant role promoting several campaigns in order to construct the Church. The society, the press and the associations of believers worked on the benefit of the parishes and claimed for a pastoral development. We attempt to reflect this effort on this article. Este art赤culo repasa a grandes trazos el proceso de construcci車n de la Iglesia Cat車lica en la Argentina en la segunda mitad del siglo XIX. En particular, se concentra en el papel que tuvieron las asociaciones de fieles vinculadas a las parroquias en el fomento del culto. Tambi谷n la prensa habr赤a jugado un papel de relevancia promoviendo distintas iniciativas que redundaban en una mayor consolidaci車n de la instituci車n eclesi芍stica. Los fieles, la sociedad y la prensa reclamaron la necesidad de m芍s sacerdotes, m芍s parroquias, mejores templos y una mejor atenci車n pastoral. Tuvieron una intensa participaci車n que se quiere recoger en estas p芍ginas.
