摘要
This paper introduces the research progress in synthesis of 5-ethoxymethylfurfural (EMF), and summarizes different catalytic systems for the synthesis and their characteristics. Difficulties encountered in large-scale catalytic conversion process of biomass materials to prepare EMF are overviewed. It is suggested that EMF synthesis will go toward the direction of more environmental friendly and higher economic efficiency.
