摘要

To test the effects of constant voltage control and constant extinction angle control on HVDC steady and transient performance, the control system of CIGRE HVDC benchmark model is complemented by a voltage control module, ie. a constant current control is used at rectifier side, while a coordination control method combining voltage control, constant current control and constant extinction angle control is employed at inverter side. Steady and transient characteristics of the controller under three-phase short circuit fault at both rectifier and inverter sides are analyzed by using PSCAD/EMTDC simulations. The results show that, in comparison with CIGRE HVDC benchmark model, adding constant voltage control at inverter side could enhance the performance of HVDC system under the fault of AC side and lower the risk of commutation failure.
