the results of the participatory workshop ˋstrategic vision of the goat agro production chainˋ carried out in lara and falcon states are presented in this article, whose objective was to establish the vision of the before mentioned circuit determining its critical matters in the main productive region of the country. the workshop was developed with development of organizations for change (doc) methodology. those components detected to have the greatest importance for the effects of a strategic action plan were primary production, commercialization -with special emphasis on the local intermediary network - and the consumer. four strategic areas with their respective critical matters were defined. those linked to the need to improve the producerˋs organization, develop public services, transfer technology and train to improve the quality of goat products and sub-products, broaden the internal market and achieve economic equilibrium between the primary prices of the producer and that obtained by the commercial intermediaries remained.
