摘要

The role of exogenous LH in ovarian stimulation is controversial. The following LH ceiling theory was postulated:that above a certain level,LH is detrimental to follicular maturation and growth in the late follicular phase. It was reported that rLH administered in the late follicular phase may promote maturation and ovulation of a single or limited number follicles while inducing atresia in secondary follicles, and also that adding low-dose hCG may shorten the interval of stimulation, reduce the dose of exogenous FSH administration, increase atresia of small antral follicles, and conceivably reduce the chance of ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome(OHSS) and multiple pregnancy.
