摘要
Este estudo explorat車rio descritivo, de natureza qualitativa, teve como objetivo apreender como os enfermeiros de um hospital de ensino percebem os familiares enquanto participantes do cuidado. Foram entrevistadas seis enfermeiras de cl赤nicas de pacientes emsitua o cr nica de vida. A an芍lise de dados permitiu inferir que tiveram pouco conhecimento sobre a tem芍tica da fam赤lia durante a gradua o, dificultando o relacionamento com os familiares acompanhantes. A conviv那ncia durante a interna o 谷 marcada por facilidades quando os mesmos colaboram na assist那ncia e por dificuldades ao tentar romper as regras institucionais. Indicam que os novos enfermeiros dever o ter embasamento te車rico para atender a fam赤lia nos diversos cen芍rios do cuidado. Considero que h芍 necessidade de investimento na capacita o de profissionais e que o avan o da humaniza o dos servi os implica em troca e integra o de saberes de pacientes, familiares, profissionais de sa迆de, equipe de apoio e gestores que extrapolam o campo das ci那ncias. This exploratory descriptive study, of qualitative nature had thepurpose to study how the nurses from a hospital school see the family as care participants. Six nurses from clinics of chronically ill patients were interviewed. The data analysis allowed to infer that the nurses had only little knowledge of the family*s thematic duringgraduation, making the relationship with the accompanying families very difficult. Daily care during hospitalization period is marked by easy moments when members are willing to participate in the process, and by difficulties when they attempt to break institutional rules.It was suggested that new nurses have theoretical foundation to attend the family in several scenarios of care. It was considered the need of investments in professional training, and that the advance of humanization of services implies in exchange and integration ofknowledge among patients, family members, health professionals, support staff and managers beyond the science field.
