摘要
due to the need of adopting or developing a system for the electronic management of the medical histories of the psychiatric hospital in havana, a review of the literature available at the national and international level was made. from the technical point of view, this process requires the designing of a database and a system that meet both the institution%26apos;s information requirements and the objective necessity of a national medical information system, of a link to that system, that is still hypothetical, but undoubtedly real. this will force each hospital subsystem of medical history management to be designed in a way in which they are not isolated from the national system and they are not based on individual criteria, but on normalized systems aimed at being easily linked to a national intranet to which the family physician%26apos;s offices will be integrated on a second phase.
