Las neurociencias constituyen uno de los frentes de investigaci車n m芍s visibles de la producci車n cient赤fica de Cuba. Como sector de la investigaci車n, ellas se caracterizan por el alto nivel de colaboraci車n entre sus especialistas, citaci車n y una gran multidisciplinariedad. En el presente trabajo se analizaron las estad赤sticas de producci車n y el uso de una muestra de cient赤ficos cubanos altamente productivos en esta 芍rea. El estudio sistem芍tico del quehacer de los neurocient赤ficos cubanos mediante indicadores basados en an芍lisis de citas, objetivo principal del presente estudio, revelar芍 en el futuro -con mayor nivel de detalle- las caracter赤sticas de su producci車n documental, a la vez que ser芍 un instrumento imprescindible para una mejor evaluaci車n de su desempe o como investigadores, as赤 como de su eficiencia cient赤fica. Neurosciences are one of the most visible research fronts in the scientific production of Cuba. As research area they are characterized by high degree of collaboration among there specialists, citation and multidisciplinarity. The production and use statistics from high productive Cuban scientists in this sector were analyzed. The systematic study of Cuban Neuroscientists activity through indicators based on citation analysis, the main objective of the current work, will show in the future the characteristics of its documental production with a more levels of detail, at the same time that it will become an essential tool for a better evaluation of its performances and scientific efficiency.
