ResumenPresentamos un caso de una paciente en la que se confirm車 la ausencia de recurrencia de tumoraci車n retroorbitaria gracias a la fusi車n de im芍genes metab車licas PET con morfol車gicas RNM. La utilizaci車n individualmente de PET o de RNM, no hubiera permitido la obtenci車n de este diagn車stico de certeza.La fusi車n PET con RNM se realiza actualmente con sistemas inform芍ticos; existiendo ya un primer prototipo en pruebas de c芍mara h赤brida PET-RNM. Este ser芍 el siguiente paso de la Medicina Nuclear tras la fusi車n del PET con la TAC. SummaryWe present a patient∩s case with the confirmation of absence of a retroorbitary tumor recurrence thanks to the fusion of metabolic PET image with morphologic MRI image. With only the individualy use of PET or MRI, we weren∩t able to obtain the certainty diagnosis.At present PET-MRI fusion is made with informatics procedures; with an hybrid PET-MRI scanner in trials. This will be the next step in Nuclear Medicine after the PET CT fusion.
