摘要
The effects of dual rate aging (DRA) on the microstructure and mechanical properties of as-extruded 6082 aluminum alloy were investigated by OM, SEM, TEM, and room temperature tensile test. The results indicate that besides the solid solution, as-extruded 6082 alloy also contains α-Al solid solution, α- AlMnCrFeSi phase and Mg2Si phase. After DRA treatment, the main precipitated strengthening phase of supersaturated solid solution is β phase. Compared with those of the T6-treated alloy, the β phase of specimens after 4-hour DRA treatment has the smaller size, higher density and strength, and yield strength is increased by 18.0%. In addition, large amounts of dimples are observed in the tensile fracture of alloy treated with T6 treatment and 4-hour DRA, which is characterized by ductile fracture. ? 2022, Journal Office of Special Casting and Nonferrous Alloys.
