  In this study, the bagasse pith was used as raw material and two types bleaching agent, hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) and sodium hyposulfite(Na2S2O4), were selected to investigate the bleaching process.Based on the orthogonal experiments, the QP1P2process and the QPY process were separately optimized and the bleaching efficiency between both two processes under optimum condition, were compared.The results showed that: the ISO brightness of bleached bagasse pith from QP1 P2 process, was 59.7% ISO, increased by 50.6% compared with the original brightness (29.5 % ISO) ; the brightness of bleached bagasse pith from QPY process was 56.5% ISO.Compared with the QPY process, the QP1 P2 process can gain higher brightness and more suitable for the bagasse pith bleaching.
