The title compound, C14H9Cl3N2O, adopts an E configuration about the methylidene unit and the two aromatic rings form a dihedral angle of 6.6 (2)degrees. In the crystal, molecules are linked via N-H center dot center dot center dot O hydrogen bonds, forming C(4) chains propagating in [001]. C-H center dot center dot center dot O interactions reinforce the chains.
