摘要
Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) have carcinogenic properties, making their behavior and pollution characteristics in the environment of great concern. As an important link in China's economic development, the pollution characteristics and sources of PAHs in Yangtze River need to be clarified. In this study, the pollution characteristics and sources of 19 PAHs in surface sediments were analyzed and the ecological risks of PAHs were assessed with the main stream of the Yangtze River(Panzhihua to Nanjing)and major tributaries as the study area. The results showed that the total and mean concentrations of 19 PAHs in the sediments of the upper, middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River and major tributaries were 55.2 ~ 406.4 ng·g-1((216.3 ± 139.2)ng·g-1),48.0 ~ 500.4 ng·g-1((337.1 ± 197.0)ng·g-1),90.1 ~ 429.8 ng·g-1((268.0 ± 129.0)ng·g-1),with 4-ring(38.9%)and 5 ~ 6-ring PAHs(39.9%)as the main compositions. Taking the Three Gorges Dam as the boundary, the concentration increased when it is closer to the dam in the upstream, and in the middle and lower reaches the concentration increased when it is closer to the Yangtze Estuary. The concentration of sediment PAHs in the Yangtze River basin has been decreasing in the past 20 years. The results of the molecular ratio and principal component analysis indicated that the sediment PAHs in the Yangtze River basin mainly originated from biomass and coal combustion,petroleum-based material combustion, and oil spills. In addition, the results of ecological risk assessment based on sediment quality benchmarks(SQCs)and sediment quality standards(SQGs)indicated that the ecological risk of sediments PAHs in the Yangtze River basin was low,but the ecological risks of high-rings PAHs still should be focused on,such as BaP,DBA,and BbF,BkF,IcdP,BghiP without the specified safety values . ? 2023 Science Press.
