The article describes the creation of the first Histology Chair at the Valladolid University, their cons谷cutives professors ( Aureliano Maestre de San Juan and Leopoldo L車pez Garc赤a ), the institutionalization of the Histology and Pathological Anatomy Chairs and the first academic period of Isaac Costero and Rio Hortega. A facsimile of the Master Degree exercises of Rio Hortega is included. El art赤culo describe la creaci車n en 1873 de la primera C芍tedra de Histolog赤a en la Universidad de Valladolid y sus sucesivos profesores: Aureliano Maestre de San Juan y Leopoldo L車pez Garc赤a, la institucionalizaci車n de la Histolog赤a y la Anatom赤a Patol車gica como disciplinas, y los inicios acad谷micos de Isaac Costero y P赤o del R赤o Hortega. Se incluyen, en facs赤mil, los ejercicios de Licenciatura de R赤o Hortega.
