摘要
TiB 2 /Al-Zn-Mg-Cu composites with different volume fraction were fabricated by Melt-SHS, and the homogenization processes were modified. The results show that homogenization temperature of composites is lower than the matrix alloy under the same homogenization time, mainly due to the average non-equilibrium eutectic phase space of the composites is more narrow and shorter than the matrix, which makes the element diffusion time be shorter. Besides, each additional 5vol% TiB 2 particles added in the composites, the optimum homogenization temperature increase 1-2 ℃, which is mainly because the synergistic effects of low thermal conductivity and obstruction element diffusion of TiB 2 particles. The balanced eutectic phase of the composites can be eliminated and the distribution of particles can be not significantly changed.
