摘要

Corn stalk was liquefied in polyether polyols with multi-functionalities as the liquefying reagent and mineral acid as the catalyst.Lower residue yield was achieved when sulfuric acid, rather than phosphoric acid, was used as the catalyst. The use of sulfuric acid, however, led to side reaction more easily.During the liquefaction process, the stalk and the liquefaction reagent were degraded, generating a lot of gaseous substance and causing mass loss. The reaction time, catalyst content and temperature had significant influences on the liquefaction effect. The optimal liquefaction was obtained at 2 h and 160℃ when the concentration of sulfuric acid was 5%.Polyol 303was the one with the lowest functionality of the three candidates, which favored the liquefaction best.Hemicellulose could be easily liquefied in the liquefaction process, and the main components in residue were cellulose, lignin and their derivatives.Ethylenediamine polyether and sorbol polyether, compared with glycerine polyether, were accompanied by severer side-reactions and more mass loss. The foams prepared from the polyether polyols had better mechanical properties than conventional rigid polyurethane foams did.
