Through the years the people%26apos;s history has demonstrated the importance of personal funds as source of incalculable value for the investigation and reconstruction of transcendental facts. This need recognized, the importance of the processing of the personal files is undertaken and reflections are made on the influence the new technologies of information and communication have had in recent years in the composition of said funds; as well as on the importance these changes have in the way the description of the documents that compose it are analyzed.
