摘要

This paper demonstrates the technical process of three dimensional(3D) printing repair and manufacturing, the application form of 3D printing in the repair and manufacture of plastic parts, and the case of acquistion of model data by means of reverse engineering technology and computer aided design technology. Plastics is the most mature material for 3D printing. The plastic 3D printing process includes fused deposition molding, stereo lithography apparatus and selective laser sintering, which is suitable for processing most plastic parts. Customized production by 3D printing is faster than that by conventional technologies, which provides a better way for repair and manufacturing of plastic parts. As the performance of the material continues to be improved and the technology is further popularized, the printing costs are reduced as well, 3D printing will be more practical in plastic parts repair and manufacturing.
