A doen a de um membro da fam赤lia costuma afetar todo o grupo familiar,gerando desequil赤brio e o surgimento de necessidades que exigem atendimento. Este estudo, de natureza bibliogr芍fica, objetivou identificar e analisar publica es sobre interven es de enfermagem com familiares de pacientes, mais especificamente internadosem UTI. Foram consultados peri車dicos brasileiros de enfermagem, de 1994 a 2004. Dos 14 artigos estudados, apenas 3 foram relacionados a familiares de pacientes em UTI. A maioria, composta de artigo original ou relato de experi那ncia, focalizou interven es com familiares de pacientes hospitalizados, mas n o realizou avalia o da interven o. Das interven es realizadas, 50% foram com grupos e 50% com atendimento individual de familiares. Os resultados indicam a necessidade de realiza o de mais estudos de interven o comfamiliares de pacientes na perspectiva de clientes e profissionais, com avalia o de sua efic芍cia. The illness of a family member usually affects the entire family group, producing disruption and appearance of necessities that demandattendance. This study aimed to identify and to analyze publications concerning interventions of nursing with family members of patients, more specifically interned in ICU. Bibliographical research carried out by manual search in Brazilian journals of nursing from 1994 to 2004. Of 14 studied articles, only three were related with family members of patients in ICU, the most of them were original papers or case report, focused on interventions with family members of hospitalized patients, and did not carry out evaluation of the intervention. Of all the carried out interventions, 50% were with groups and 50% with individual attendance of relatives. The results indicate the need of development of interventions studies involving relatives of patients in the perspective of family members and professionals, with evaluation of its efficacy.
