摘要
The preparation of foam ceramics with solid waste has become a hotspot as the increasing demand for foam ceramics. But there are few researches on how to shorten the sintering cycle and increase production efficiency of foam ceramics. In this study, Shangluo molybdenum tailings were used as main raw material to sinter foam ceramics. The oxidizing agent MnO2 was added to compensate for the uneven foaming of the foaming agent due to insufficient oxygen. At the same heating rate, the addition of MnO2 significantly increases the average pore diameter of the foam ceramics. Under the conditions that meet the requirements of use, the heating rate of high temperature section can be increased from 3 °C/min to 5 °C/min. The sintering cycle is shorten about 45 min. The production efficiency of foam ceramics is improved. ? 2023 Bulletin of the Chinese Ceramic Society.
