Com o objetivo de conhecer a influ那ncia da aduba o organica naspropriedades qu赤micas de um Latossolo Vermelho distr車fico cultivado com Brachiaria brizantha cv. Marandu e na produ o de mat谷ria seca, foi instalado o experimento no munic赤pio de Cidade Ga迆cha, noroeste do estado do Paran芍. Foram testadas as doses de 0, 5, 10, 15 e 20 t ha-1 de cama de frango e 100 kg ha-1 de nitrog那nio sob a forma de ur谷ia. A produ o de mat谷ria seca apresentou crescimento linear em fun o do aumento nas doses de cama de frango aplicadas. A dose m芍xima testada de 20 t ha-1 foi 321% superior a testemunha sem aduba o e 96,6% superior a aduba o qu赤mica. Tamb谷m houve diferen asignificativa para as vari芍veis teor de pot芍ssio, f車sforo e carbono em rela o a aduba o qu赤mica. Para as vari芍veis pH, H+Al, Ca, Mg e CTC n o houve significancia comparada a aduba o qu赤mica, por谷m houve diferen a significativa do pH em rela o 角 testemunha sem aduba o. Aiming at discovering the influence of organic fertilization uponthe chemical properties of a dystrophic Red Latosol cultivated with Brachiaria brizantha cv. Marandu, as well as, on the production of dry matter, an experiment was set in Cidade Gaucha, a small town located in the Northwest of Parana state. Doses of poultry manure orwaste 0, 5, 10, 15 and 20 t ha-1 and 100 kg ha-1 of nitrogen, in the form of urea, were tested. The production of dry matter presented a linear growing. Such a growing was due to the increase in the poultry manure control treatment applied onto the pasture. The 20 t ha-1maximum dose tested was 321% superior to the testing dose without any fertilization and 96.6% superior to the chemical fertilization. There were significant differences regarding the variables such as, Potassium, Phosphorus and Carbon content, whereas, for pH, H+Al,Ca, Mg and CTC there were no significance. However, there was a significant difference concerning pH in relation to testing without any fertilization.
